Not sure which series? RN serials start with RN, RG serials start with RG. Short codes are a single letter followed by 3 digits (e.g. A100). Check the chassis label or on-screen display.

How to Find Your Renault Radio Serial

Method 1 — On-screen serial (Clio, Megane)

With the radio in CODE mode, press and hold button 1 and 6 together for 5 seconds. The serial displays in two groups — combine them for the full serial (e.g. RN459F + W4043933 = RN459FW4043933).

Method 2 — Radio chassis sticker

Remove the radio from the dashboard. The serial number is printed on a sticker on the top or side of the unit — it begins with RN (standard), RG (Kangoo/Dacia), or is a short code like A100 for older units.

Dacia models (Sandero, Logan, Duster) typically use the RG series. Select Renault RG / Dacia from the dropdown for these vehicles.

FAQ

My Renault Clio shows CODE — is the battery dead?

No — this is normal. Renault radios lock automatically when power is interrupted. Enter the 4-digit PIN code to restore operation.

How do I enter the code on a Renault Megane?

Use the 6 station preset buttons. Buttons 1–4 select each digit. Press each button repeatedly to cycle through 0–9 for that position. Confirm with button 5 or 6 depending on your radio model.

My Dacia Sandero needs a code — which series?

Dacia radios use the RG series. Select 'Renault RG / Dacia' from the dropdown and enter the serial starting with RG from the radio's chassis sticker.
