How to Find Your Mitsubishi Radio Serial

Method 1 — Radio chassis sticker

Remove the radio from the dashboard. On Mitsubishi vehicles this usually requires removing trim panels around the center console. The serial sticker on the chassis begins with MI610S followed by a letter and digits.

Method 2 — Mitsubishi dealer

Mitsubishi dealers can retrieve the code using your VIN from the manufacturer's database. This is free for the registered owner and takes only a few minutes.

Method 3 — Vehicle documents

Some Mitsubishi models came with a radio code card in the vehicle documentation. Check the glovebox, service book, or original owner's folder.

FAQ

My Mitsubishi Lancer radio shows "OFF" — how do I enter the code?

With the radio displaying OFF or a series of dashes, use the preset station buttons (1–4) to enter each digit of the 4-digit code. After entering all four digits press the SOUND or DISC button to confirm.

Can I use the code on a second-hand radio from a different Mitsubishi?

Yes. The code is tied to the radio unit itself, not the vehicle VIN. As long as you have the serial number from the unit's sticker, you can retrieve and use the correct code regardless of which car the radio came from.

My serial starts with MI but not MI610S — will it work?

The database covers the MI610S series. If your serial starts with a different MI prefix, it may be from an earlier or later model year. Enter it anyway — if the serial is in our database it will return a result.
